The best news for fishing this week are the favorable mid day to early afternoon low tides, during the warmest part of the day. Find drops close to the bank, in out of the current areas.
Water temperatures will reach 45, closer to 40 to start the day. Water clarity is up to 3 feet. NBC Ch. 4 meteorologist "Weather Kim" Martucci says, “Monday's high in the low 50s will yield to highs only in the low to mid 40s. Overnight lows around freezing. Late in the week winds shift from out of the east, warming into the mid 50s for the weekend.”

Spool 6-pound test Gamma Copoly on spinning reels like Quantum’s EXO. Use Punisher hair jigs, Mizmo tubes and grubs fished slowly down drops. A good soaking in Jack’s Juice garlic bait spray is important for bottom baits. Watch line and allow baits to sit, carefully lifting to feel for bites!
Try drop shot and split shot rigs using 2/0 thin wire Mustad Mega Lite hooks, 3/16-ounce Water Gremlin BullShot bullet shaped split shot, and 4-inch two-tone hand poured Lure Craft centipedes...watermelon and green pumpkin. Use 24-inch leaders allowing baits to drop to the bottom, shaking gently. Leave drop shot in one location or on cover for a while! For split shot, drag an inch or two and let it sit, working down drops.
