Water is warming to the low 40s, but a bit stained. Look for fish a bit shallower near steep drops. Fish slowly! The week is looking to improve!

Longer days are bringing a slight warm up, but not enough to change speed…fish slowly! NBC Ch. 4 meteorologist "Weather Kim" Martucci says, “A chilly start in the low to mid 40s with temperatures dropping to around 40 on Wednesday with a pretty good chance of snow...a slight warm up on Thursday before 50s and sun make an appearance for the weekend.”

MIZMO tubes, Mann's Stingray grubs and curl tail grubs on 6-pound test GAMMA Copoly line, fished very slowly will pick off bass moving shallow to feed. The food chain is still slow with craws still in hibernation, but it won't be long! Fish want to go shallower, close to deep water, but muddy water and chilly water temperatures will require slow presentations. Jack’s Juice attractant will encourage fish to hold on longer!

Drop shots and split shots will cover water as the water warms toward the end of the week. Leaders shortened to 10 inches and worked slowly on longer casts to cover water work better as water clears or on sunny days with better light penetration.

In areas cleared near discharge plants, Lucky Craft Pointer 78 suspending jerkbaits worked with long pauses will pick off bass close to cover. Use bigger Pointer 100s for deeper situations.

It's prime time for Punisher hair jigs! Spray with Jacks Juice...don’t use gel attractants! Cast and let them sit. Shake and sit! Use Punisher rattles and 6 or 8 pound test GAMMA Copoly.

With sun and fairly clear water, try Silver Buddy's down drops toward deeper water to find deeper fish on drops.
