NEW YORK (AP) Comments on the Kansas City Chiefs by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (29)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 29) - Need Hank Stram playbook.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 26) - Brady Quinn should get his chance to resurrect his career, and the Chiefs.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 27)
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 28) - Chiefs fans are hoping Brady Quinn is the answer. I'm not so sure.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 27) - This was a lot uglier than just a 9-6 home loss to the Ravens. Chiefs fans cheering a Matt Cassel head injury? C'mon, people.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 27) - The 1-4 Chiefs are one of only three teams to rank in the top 10 in both offense and defense along with Detroit and San Francisco.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 31) - Bad enough that the team stinks. But when we boo the fans - and Kansas City fans, no less - you know something is terribly wrong.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 28) - If they ever stop beating themselves, they could be decent.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 28) - Everyone seemed to want Cassel replaced. We'll find out if Brady Quinn can turn things around if Cassel is dealing with a significant injury. It may be time to stop saying this team is so talented.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 27) - The Chiefs defense had a valiant effort against the Ravens but the offense laid an egg.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 29) - If the Chiefs showed as much anger on the field as right tackle Eric Winston did in his postgame defense of concussed quarterback Matt Cassel, Kansas City wouldn't be in the AFC West basement at 1-4.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 29) - The ship looks like it's going down, and it looks like it's Brady Quinn's turn to start bailing.
