NEW YORK (AP) Comments on the Baltimore Ravens by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
BALTIMORE RAVENS (8)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 9) - John Harbaugh changing offensive coordinators in December a bold move, just like the one his brother made at quarterback.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 7) - Can't blame Cam Cameron anymore. It's time for Joe Flacco to deliver.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 7)
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 12) - Things aren't right with the Ravens as they just fired offensive coordinator Cam Cameron ... not sure that will be enough to settle down Flacco.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 9) - Two losses, more problems on offense, and John Harbaugh has had enough. Out with offensive coordinator Cam Cameron and in with Jim Caldwell. Risky move, but worth it for Harbaugh. Tough first task when Baltimore hosts Caldwell's old pal Peyton Manning.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 7) - With an uncharacteristically porous defense (24th in the NFL), the Ravens need more from their offense this season. But a cast that includes QB Joe Flacco, RB Ray Rice and WR Anquan Boldin was underperforming (18th in the NFL) and it cost coordinator Cam Cameron his job. Jim Caldwell takes over Sunday against Denver.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 10) - It's not the Ravens' offense that concerns me; it's a defense that surrenders too many yards and too many points.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 9) - Ray Lewis can't return fast enough to stop the bleeding.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 9) - The defense is not what it used to be and the offense just doesn't deliver in the passing game like it should if the team wants to go to the Super bowl.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 8) - A shocker in Baltimore as the 9-4 Ravens part ways with offensive coordinator Cam Cameron after Week 14. Here come the Broncos.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 8) - Ravens head coach John Harbaugh had better hope the firing of offensive coordinator Cam Cameron results in more points to cover for a defense ravaged by injuries.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 9) - The Ravens defense needs a savior. What do you know, here comes Ray Lewis.
