- ATLANTA - The Atlanta Falcons look to reach the Super Bowl for the second time when they play Colin Kaepernick and the San Francisco 49ers for the NFC championship. Game starts 3 p.m.

- FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -The Baltimore Ravens hope to reach the Super Bowl and extend Ray Lewis' career when they meet Tom Brady and New England in an AFC title game rematch. Game starts 6:30 p.m.

- A look at the Super Bowl story lines set up by Sunday's conference championship games. To be sent after the second title game.

- SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Notre Dame explains its handling of the bizarre hoax surrounding Manti Te'o, but whether the star linebacker was a victim or participant is still an open question.

- MELBOURNE, Australia -Novak Djokovic beats Stanislas Wawrinka in a five-set match lasting more than five hours at the Australian Open. This is the 15th straight major Djokovic has reached the quarterfinals.

- PHOENIX - Player development director Lindsey Hunter is appointed interim coach of the Suns, who have lost 13 of 15 and split with Alvin Gentry. Hunter played 17 seasons in the NBA.

- LA QUINTA, Calif. - Scott Stallings takes a five-stroke lead into the final round of the Humana Challenge, putting him position for his third PGA Tour victory.

- ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates- Jamie Donaldson wins the Abu Dhabi Championship by a shot, with Justin Rose missing a birdie putt on the 18th that would have forced a playoff.

- GLENDALE, Ariz. - On Day Two of the NHL season, the Phoenix Coyotes unveil their first division title banner before their home opener against Chicago in a rematch of last year's playoffs. Game starts 10 p.m.

- CORTINA D'AMPEZZO, Italy - Germany's Viktoria Rebensburg wins a shortened World Cup super-G while Lindsey Vonn is seventh. Vonn, coming off a downhill victory, struggles in difficult conditions.
