49ers' Ahmad Brooks on RG3: 'He shouldn't be playing'
Coming off back-to-back poor performances, and in the midst of a sophomore slump, Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III has not looked as good this season as he did in his sensational rookie year. And San Francisco 49ers linebacker Ahmad Brooks thinks he knows why.
Asked about RG3 after the Niners 27-6 win over the Redskins, Brooks said plainly that Griffin is still fighting a knee injury and shouldn't be playing.
"He's obviously a man and he makes his own decisions, but I personally don’t feel he should be playing right now," Brooks said.

Asked directly if Griffin shouldn't be playing because of the knee injury he sustained in a January playoff loss to Seattle, Brooks confirmed.
"I don’t think he should be playing," he said again. "You can see it. Everybody can see it, everybody can see it."
Against the Niners, Griffin completed 17 of 27 passes for 127 yards and an interception. Griffin took a lot of hits in the game, including two sacks from Brooks.
"He’s a man, he has the heart of a warrior and is going to go out there and play regardless of the circumstance," Brooks said of RG3. "Everybody can see it. Everybody can see it. He shouldn’t be playing."
