Redskins cornerback David Amerson has been listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Bears but is expected to suit up as long as he doesn’t suffer a setback, Coach Mike Shanahan said Friday.

Amerson sustained a concussion in last week’s game against the Cowboys when absorbed a blindside hit from Cameron Lawrence. The Dallas linebacker was fined $21,000 for the illegal hit, a source told CSNWashington.com.

“If he passes his test tomorrow and there are no problems, he’ll be ready to go,” Shanahan said.

Getting Amerson back would provide the Redskins’ defense with a significant boost. He’s the Redskins’ No. 3 cornerback and will be asked to help shutdown the Bears’ Jay Cutler-led passing attack at FedEx Field.

Fred Davis (ankle), Will Montgomery (knee), Chris Neild (calf), Brandon Jenkins (ankle), Jerome Murphy (ankle) and Logan Paulsen (knee) will be listed as probable, Shanahan said.
