The Redskins will decide Saturday whether Sav Rocca is fit to punt Sunday afternoon against the Giants.

Rocca tweaked his knee while jogging Thursday and has not attempted a punt since, according to Coach Mike Shanahan.

As a precaution, the team has invited three punters to Redskins Park on Friday for an audition.

“We’re going to test him tomorrow and see how he feels,” Shanahan said of Rocca. “Hopefully he’ll feel okay.”

Rocca is also the holder on field goals, which means if he can’t suit up, the Redskins will need a replacement at that position as well. If Rocca doesn’t play, and his replacement does not have any experience holding, the holding duties will fall on backup quarterback Kirk Cousins.

Cousins practiced holding Thursday and Friday, Shanahan said.

Among the punters trying out is Chas Henry, who averaged 48.5 yards per punt in three games with the Eagles this season, Shanahan confirmed.
