With the signing of Shawn Lauvao it looks like there will be some shuffling on the Redskins’ offensive line for the first time since 2011.
It remains to be seen where Lauvao will line up but his signing does mean that the Redskins will have some change in their offensive line for the first time in a while. The same five players have started all but one game for the last two seasons. But there will be some shakeup in the interior among right guard Kory Lichtensteiger, center Will Montgomery, and right guard Chris Chester.

It looks like one of two things will happen. Either Chester will be released, saving $2.7 million in cap room, and Lauvao, who played right guard in Cleveland, will slide into that spot. Or Lichtensteiger could move to center and Lauvao could man the left side.
We’re very early in the free agency process so more changes in the interior line are possible. The Redskins also have Josh LeRibeus and Adam Gettis, both taken in the 2012 draft, as interior linemen so they could be in the mix as well.
