The Cowboys are leading the Redskins 14-3 but they will have to try to hold that lead without two of their best players.
First running back DeMarco Murray left the game with what was announced as a left knee injury. Murray was on his way to having a pretty good day with seven carries for 29 yards. He scored Dallas’ first touchdown.
Then DeMarcus Ware, the Cowboys’ perennial Pro Bowl defensive end, pulled up lame during a play with minimal contact and immediately headed to the bench. His injury was announced as a right quad injury.
Both players went to the Dallas locker room to have their injuries examined further. The return of both Murray and Ware is questionable.
UPDATE: Rob Carlin of CSN Washington reports that Ware and Murray are out for the game.
