NFL free agency is now more than one week old. Not sure what the etiquette guides suggest gift-wise for such an anniversary, but how about the latest CSNwashington 2014 mock draft, version 5.0? Here's how we see the first two rounds at this point, but first...

Since last we left you, the Redskins signed several free agents including 3-4 DE Jason Hatcher, OG Shawn Lauvao and WR Andre Roberts. Each of those positions were in play for Washington with the 34th overall pick. That leaves right tackle, safety and inside linebacker as the clear primary needs.

Based on the draft board - or least my latest mock - six tackles, two safeties and Alabama ILB C.J. Mosley go in round one. Based on my current assessment of the remaining options, Northern Illinois strong safety Jimmie Ward is the next best prospect at either of those positions.

Sure, the Redskins re-signed Brandon Meriweather. Nobody is counting on the 30-year-old to play all 16 games or last beyond this season. There is also a reason why safety ranks as a team priority, at least by those on the outside looking in: What the Redskins had last season wasn't very good.

My ideal plan, as it's been since Mock 1.0, involves landing an offensive tackle. If that hasn't happened in any significant way - and with Donald Penn to Oakland the options are dwindling  - by draft day, names like Cyrus Kouandjio (Alabama), Antonio Richardson (Tennessee) or Jake Mewhort (Ohio State) could be the call at 34.

Otherwise, many changes in this latest mock including help for Eli Manning, multiple defensive linemen for the depleted Cowboys plus new homes for prospects Sammy Watkins, Khalil Mack and Carlos Hyde.

With my college basketball duties winding down, more and more NFL Draft talk will pop up in my world. Hit me up on Twitter - @benstandig - or leave your opinion in the comments section below. Be cool and we're cool, cool?
