New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz signed his first-round restricted free agent tender worth $2.879 million for one year, according to ESPN.
Cruz has been one of quarterback Eli Manning's favorite targets in the past two years. The last two seasons, Cruz has not missed a game and made 168 catches along with 19 touchdowns to help them win Super Bowl XLVI.
The ultimate goal for Cruz and the organization is to reach a long-term extension, which they have not been able to do. The Giants plan to get Cruz to agree to a long-term extension during training camp.
