The Redskins reportedly hosted free agent Akeem Jordan for a visit on Tuesday.
Jordan started 10 games as an inside linebacker for the Chiefs last season, recording 67 tackles and two forced fumbles. The 28-year-old also notched four special teams tackles.
Jordan (6-1, 230) spent the previous six seasons with the Eagles.
Although the Redskins have re-signed Perry Riley and added Darryl Sharpton and Adam Hayward via free agency, the team remains interested in bolstering its corps of inside linebackers and strengthening its stable of special teams players.
It was unclear if the Redskins offered Jordan a contract.
The visit was first reported by Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun.
