RICHMOND—After missing out on free agent Joe Mays, the Redskins have reportedly turned their attention to another available linebacker: Nick Barnett, formerly of the Packers and Bills.
The past two seasons in Buffalo, Barnett totaled 242 combined tackles, five sacks and four forced fumbles. According to multiple reports Tuesday afternoon, the 32-year-old is scheduled to undergo a physical and interview with the Redskins.
The Redskins are in need of an inside linebacker since losing Keenan Robinson to a torn pectoral muscle last week.
Update: Barnett is at the Redskins facility, was seen working out on the field.
