Peyton Manning sat out practice for Denver Broncos on Wednesday.
Hold the presses. According to ESPN and other sources, Manning has a slight ankle injury and is expected to practice tomorrow.
However, others are speculating that there may be a bigger issue with the Broncos starting quarterback than just an ankle. During last Sunday’s game against the Colts, Manning was sacked from the blindside by Robert Mathis. The ball popped loose and rolled out of the end zone for a safety.
Many observed that after that hit, Manning threw a number of passes that were wobbly and lacked the zip that his throws normally do.
Could Manning’s absence from practice today be due to an issue with his arm more than with his ankle?
