Safety Brandon Meriweather will be sidelined Sunday and potentially longer after aggravating a knee injury during a collision with teammate Aldrick Robinson before the Redskins' 24-22 victory in Tampa.Meriweather sprained the MCL and PCL in his left knee the same joint that sidelined him for the first three games of the season when he slammed headfirst into Robinson during warmups. Meriweather, who appeared to twist his knee on the way down, had been set to make his season debut against the Buccaneers.I think well be able to tell in a weeks time exactly the length of time it will be, Coach Mike Shanahan said. But as of right now, he will be out for the next game.Meriweather had been expected to bring some athleticism and veteran savvy to a secondary that has yielded a league-high 11 passing touchdowns through four games. With Meriweather sidelined, the Redskins started Reed Doughty at strong safety and instead of DeJon Gomes, who played four snaps on defense after starting the first three games.
