Redskins safety Brandon Meriweather was a full participant in practice on Wednesday, the week’s first session ahead of Sunday’s game against Aaron Rodgers and the high-powered Packers.
Coach Mike Shanahan also said the veteran is expected to make his 2013 debut if he does not suffer a setback the rest of the week.
“If there’s no setback, yeah,” Shanahan said. “He practiced full. I don’t know what to say to you except that.”
Meriweather missed Monday’s loss to the Eagles because of a sore groin muscle. Since signing with the Redskins in March 2012, he’s only played two-plus quarters out of 18 possible games.
If Meriweather is healthy, he’ll likely start at strong safety across from rookie free safety Bacarri Rambo.
