The Redskins scored to take a lead in their game against the Raiders but they have apparently lost one of their top offensive weapons. Alfred Morris has left the game with a rib contusion.
He left the game early in the fourth quarter after a run down to the Raiders three yard line. Morris didn’t take an apparent bad hit but Roy Helu cam into the game on the following play and Morris went into the locker room.
Two plays later the Redskins scored on a five-yard pass from Robert Griffin III to Pierre Garçon to take a 17-14 lead. It is the first second-half lead the Redskins have had this season.
At the time of his departure Morris had gained 71 yards on 16 carries. He was replaced by Roy Helu Jr.
