The attack in Boston yesterday reminds us that while there are many things far more important than sports we also very much need the diversion that sports supplies. We will move on here with thoughts and prayers for the casualties in Boston and the fervent hope that whoever is responsible for the cowardly attack is swiftly caught and brought to justice.
So the NFL is not going to release the schedule tonight as was originally thought. Fall planning will have to wait a few more days, maybe as much as a week. It has to be released before the draft so that ESPN and NFL Network can pump up their prime time matchups for three days.
Why can't they get their act together? Did the need to move the Ravens opener to a road game really mess things up that much?
Also, I saw some tweets, although I'm not sure where they originated, that the Redskins had 100 percent attendance at the first day of workouts. Has to be a good thing, right?
