Your Tuesday morning open thread:
Adam Carriker was a key member of the defensive line in 2011, posting 5.5 sacks. Last year his season barely got started before he wound up on injured reserve with a quad injury.
He has had the anti-RG3 recovery so far. He had a setback and he has said that he will start training camp on the PUP list. Although he believes that he will be ready for the start of the regular season, his presence in the lineup on Sept. 9 is far from a sure thing.
Whenever I tweet about Carriker's recovery the level of concern I get is decidedly mixed. Some are worried about the line if he can't make it back. Others are perfectly happy with Jarvis Jenkins at left end and are in no hurry for Carriker to return.
Where do you fall on the Carriker concern scale? Is the defense in trouble he missed some of the season? Or do you think they can get by just fine without him?
