Your Monday morning open thread:
Well, I’m about to hop onto I-95 south for the drive back down to Richmond after the players (and media) got a day off Sunday.
In the meantime, let’s talk about the Redskins’ sudden need for a linebacker and perhaps some help along the defensive line, too, shall we?
The team entered training camp in decent shape at both positions. But after losing inside linebacker Keenan Robinson (torn pectoral) as well as left defensive ends Adam Carriker (quad tendon) and Jarvis Jenkins (four game suspension), they’re suddenly looking a little thin at both spots. (Read about the team's internal options at end here and linebacker here.)
The Redskins are so concerned about losing Robinson, in fact, they invited free agent Joe Mays to town for a visit on Saturday. Mays, however, left without a signing a contract, according to a source, and is reportedly visiting Houston.
So here’s today’s topic: Which position has you most concerned? And do you think the salary cap strapped Redskins need to go outside of the organization to fill the void?
