Your Monday morning open thread.
Well, it’s finally here. The 2013 season officially gets underway when players report in Richmond on Wednesday—which could also be the single most important day of the offseason for the Redskins.
It’s expected that the quarterback will be thoroughly examined by Dr. James Andrews and, afterward, either cleared for full football activities … or told he needs to wait a little longer.
Among those outside of the organization, there are two prevailing schools of thought: 1) if RG3’s ready, he’s ready and he should be allowed to practice Thursday and 2) even if he’s ready, let him watch for a few more weeks just to be safe.
My colleague Rich Tandler subscribes to the former. As for me, I wouldn’t mind RG3 starting on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list and waiting a little bit longer before hitting the practice field. Worked for Adrian Peterson, right?
So here’s today’s question: How do you think the Redskins will/should handle their star quarterback this week?
