Your Monday morning open thread:
There were reports a couple of weeks ago that the Redskins and pending free agent DeAngelo Hall had begun discussing a multiyear contract extension. Now, according to ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio, those negotiations are “intensifying.”
Florio goes onto report that the sides are not close to an agreement yet, but that progress is being made.
After an inconsistent 2012, Hall took a massive pay cut and became the Redskins’ best defensive back in 2013, recording four interceptions, scoring three defensive touchdowns and covering the opposing team’s best receiver. He also took fewer penalties and seemed to embrace a leadership role in the locker room.
It should also be noted that Hall will be 31 in November.
So here’s today’s topic: How do you feel about a possible extension for D-Hall? Good move or not?
