Cousins: I gotta be ready to go
It seems weeks since a discussion around the Redskins has actually centered around football, but it's actually only been a few days. The saga of Shanahan, Snyder and Griffin is obvious, but there is a real football question for this weekend: How will Kirk Cousins perform this weekend in his first start in a year?
Last time Cousins got a start, he was impressive, passing for more than 300 yards and two touchdowns. Cousins led the Redskins to a Week 15 win last year against Cleveland in a fill-in role for RG3, and he also brought the Skins to a comeback win over the Ravens when Griffin first hurt his knee. But when Cousins has played this season, it has not looked so good. In two relief appearances for Griffin in 2013, Cousins has thrown two interceptions and completed less than 50 percent of his passes.
So what version of Captain Kirk will the Redskins see on Sunday? The impressive rookie? Or the slumping sophomore? Let us know in the comments!
