Coming into the 2014 NFL free agency period, the Redskins looked like major players. After sitting on the sidelines for two season due to an NFL-imposed salary cap penalty, Washington finally has money to spend and plenty of needs. Only the Redskins aren't playing to the script, and thus far, have been cautious in free agency.
Sure the Skins have made some moves, going for value over notoriety. Andre Roberts could end up being a great signing as an underrated wideout. But where are the big names Redskins fans have grown so used to?
Or has the mindset changed in Ashburn? With Bruce Allen now fully in charge, has there been a philosophical change in spending habits? Has there even been one report of Redskins One flying through the air to court a free agent?
As fans, do you miss the high-profile free agent signings of years passed? Could big moves still be coming? Or has Allen quieted down the Redskins offseason machine, focused on steak, not sizzle.
