Your Tuesday morning open thread:
Yesterday on a post on Real Redskins I gave a couple of reasons why designating Brian Orakpo the team's franchise player would be a better way to go than giving him a long-term contract. Bottom line, the Redskins don't have to run the risk of health concerns and they can see if his 10-sack 2013 is the new norm for him or just a contract year bump.
I got some comments on the blog and on Twitter that the right thing to do is to reward Orakpo with a long-term contract. Others don't think Orakpo should be brought back at all or for a contract number that is unrealistically low. The question here is, what would you do? Tag, sign, or let him walk?
