RGIII on season: "Everybody is mad"
As the Redskins 2013 season looks to be sinking, many have focused on salary cap restrictions as a reason the team lacks depth. Washington's defense and special teams could use an influx of new and better talent, and some point to those specific areas as hurt by the loss of $36 million of cap spending.
But next season, those salary cap restrictions come off the books, and the Skins will be able to again compete for free agents. The question will then turn to where that money should be spent.
Special teams need a big boost, but is that where money should go? Losing Lorenzo Alexander last season was a clear loss for the team.
What about the defense? Free agents could definitely help the secondary and the linebacking corps. Should dollars be allocated to those positions? What about the offensive line?
Redskins owner Dan Snyder has never been shy to spend money, and soon he will again be able to show his deep pockets. Let us know in the comments what positions the Skins should address in free agency.
