Here is your Monday morning open thread:
It probably is a foregone conclusion that Pierre Garçon is going to be the Redskins’ leading receiver in 2013. He has the ability and he has been the favorite target for Robert Griffin III ever since the moment the two took the field together for OTAs last year.
The topic for discussion here is who will be second in receptions and yards? Last year Josh Morgan led the team in receptions and was second in yards to Garçon. Will that happen again this year? Or will Leonard Hankerson be able to consistently perform at a high enough level? How about the old man Santana Moss? Will he get better with age?
It doesn’t have to be a wide receiver; how about Fred Davis? Could Roy Helu Jr. carve out a role and catch enough passes out of the backfield to take the No. 2 receiving spot?
Of course, if you think that someone other that Garçon will be the top receiver, feel free to state your case.
