There's no question who will line up behind center for the Redskins this fall, but many questions remain as to who will be the center. Washington released veteran center Will Montgomery this offseason, and there is no clear replacement for Monty on the roster.
Guard Kory Lichtensteiger could slide over and play center, especially with newly signed Shawn Lauvao's experience at right guard. But on Wednesday the Skins hosted Brian de la Puente, a free agent center from New Orleans. de la Puente is a good player, a top rated free agent at the position.
So what will happen for the Redskins? Will de la Puente end up signing a deal in Ashburn and becoming an integral part of the offensive line? Will Lichtensteiger slide over from guard to center? Will a new name emerge?
