Several news outlets and football writers have recently compiled and released some version of the top 100 players in the NFL list. CBSsports' Pete Prisco joined the fray with his own rankings - and he makes sure you the reader knows this is all him."Nope, this is my list. It's based on eyes (mine), ears (listening to scouts) and hours of watching tape. "If you're looking for conventional lists, look elsewhere. You won't find Tim Tebow, nor would you find him in my list of the top 300 players in the NFL. You also won't like where some of the perceived stars are placed and, yes, I still think Troy Polamalu is overrated."Alrighty then. As for the locals, only Brian Orakpo's inclusion at 91 prevented a Redskins shutout. As for why the pass rusher made the list or dropped eight spots from 2011, Prisco simply let the numbers do the talking."He has 28 12 sacks in his first three seasons, nine last season."So illuminating. Granted, Prisco only offered up 1-2 lines on each player, but from what I can see Orakpo got the majorly short end of the descriptive stick. One spot ahead of Orakpo, Priscosaid ofTexans OLB J.J. Watt, "it will be a shock if he isn't one of the best 3-4 down players in the league. Darnell Dockett's (92 on the list) "nasty streak" got a shout out. As for Prisco's "missing" sentence, what about something like "Would crack double figures if Redskins overall pass rush develops and constant double teams are not sent Orakpo's way," or"Still mastering his role in the 3-4 scheme, but Orakpo and Ryan Kerrigan are forming a potent pass rushing combo."Just trying to help, Pete.
