Redskins outside linebacker Brian Orakpo said he expects to be full-go once training camp begins a week from now.

Orakpo, the teams leader in sacks each of the past three seasons, underwent surgery on his left shoulder in January after he was injured in the season finale. Like many of his teammates who are coming off injuries, Orakpo did not participate fully in last months minicamp at Redskins Park.

Im one hundred percent ready to go, Orakpo said Tuesday at his second annual youth football camp in Fairfax. In OTAs and minicamp, we kind of got held out because there was no point in reinjuring anything. But once training camp starts, I should be full-go.

Orakpo suffered injuries to his shoulder and pectoral muscle while sacking Eagles quarterback Michael Vick late in the second quarter Jan. 1. Dr. James Andrews operated on Orakpo about a week later.

Although months of rehab slowed his usual offseason conditioning program, Orakpo said hes managed to make up for lost time particularly in the conditioning and weight training areas in recent weeks.

The two-time Pro Bowl selection also said he focused on preparing for the double-teams hell no doubt continue to attract.

That preparation, he said, included work on technique, footwork and hours studying film.

Ive been preparing for that, he said. Rushing on my own, doing different things, trying to get acclimated to have two bodies on me instead of just one. When you talk to rushers from around the league, were always trying to fine-tune our skills. We watch every game from last season and try to see what we can do to get better.
