The Redskins have scheduled a visit with free agent offensive tackle Donald Penn on Saturday, according to multiple reports.

Penn, who turns 31 next month, left Oakland without a deal on Friday.

He was the Buccaneers’ starting left tackle from 2007 - 2013 but was released on Thursday after Tampa Bay signed former Bengals’ tackle Anthony Collins.

The Redskins have been seeking to bolster their offensive line since the start of free agency. On Tuesday, they added former Browns guard Shawn Lauvao and on Friday they released center Will Montgomery with a failed physical designation, according to NFL transactions.

With Trent Williams, a two-time Pro Bowler, entrenched as the starter at left tackle, Washington is likely interested in Penn (6-5, 340) as competition for right tackle Tyler Polumbus or as a backup.

Penn’s scheduled visit in Washington was first reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
