Tandler - Tarik

Although the Redskins are spectators in this year’s NFL playoffs, we know you’ll still be watching. So let’s have some fun predicting the outcomes, shall we? Here’s how Redskins Insiders Tarik El-Bashir and Rich Tandler see the games unfolding:

Chiefs at Colts
Saturday, 4:35, NBC
Colts favored by 1

Tandler: Yes, the Chiefs stumbled from a 9-0 start to a 2-5 finish (and one of those wins was over a Redskins team in turmoil). But after they lost twice to the Broncos in a three-game span there really wasn’t much for them to play for. We saw just how good and deep this team is when they benched Alex Smith, Jamaal Charles, and other starters and still lost to a Chargers team playing for its playoff life due only to a couple of highly questionable calls by the zebras. The Colts were 26th vs. the run and I look for Charles to keep moving the chains and for KC to come out on top on a low-scoring affair. Chiefs 17, Colts 13

El-Bashir: Rich, you’re just a Kansas City apologist! Nothing to play for? Whatever. The playoffs are all about who’s hot and who’s not. And right now, the Andrew Luck and the Colts are hot, winning their last three games by a combined score of 78-20. And, oh yeah, one of those wins was over the Jamaal Charles and Chiefs, 23-7, on Dec. 22 AT Arrowhead. And this game will be played in comfy confines of Lucas Oil Stadium, where the Colts went 6-2, including wins over the Seahawks and Broncos earlier this season. Would this be a bad time to point out that Chiefs have also lost seven straight playoff games? The Colts will prevail, and it won’t be as close as the line suggests. Colts 28, Chiefs 17.
