The Redskins’ 2014 opponents and game sites for 2014 are now final.

The final piece of the puzzle fell into place this afternoon when the Buccaneers lost to the Saints, sending Tampa Bay into last place in the NFC South. Under the NFL’s scheduling system, that sends the Bucs to FedEx Field next season. Like all games, the dates and times are to be determined, usually sometime in April.

Home opponents: Cowboys, Eagles, Giants, Rams, Seahawks, Titans, Jaguars, and Bucs

Road opponents: Cowboys, Eagles, Giants, Cardinals, 49ers, Colts, Texans, and Vikings

Schedule notes:

—The Redskins-Rams game will match the two teams that executed one of the biggest trades in NFL history in 2012. The Rams will face the quarterback they could have had, Robert Griffin III, while the Redskins will face the players they could have had if they had held on to the three first-round picks and the second-rounder that they sent to St. Louis to move up to draft Griffin. One of those picks will be the second overall selection in the 2014 draft, Washington’s final installment in the deal.

—Washington will face four 2013 playoff teams—the winner of tonight’s Eagles-Cowboys game (twice), the Seahawks, 49ers, and Colts.

—Aside from games against the division foes, the Redskins will have only one rematch from their 2013 schedule, against the Vikings.

—The Redskins will face at least one new head coach as the Texans have already fired Gary Kubiak. Washington, of course, will make a change of its own.
