RGIII to Rolle: "Everyone can see it a little bit."
Defensive end Stephen Bowen had microfracture surgery on his right knee on Tuesday and will require six months to recover, Coach Mike Shanahan on Wednesday.
Bowen tweaked his previously injured knee against the Eagles on Nov. 17 and had been sidelined since.
“Hopefully this microfracture [surgery] will help him and, when he does come back, he’ll come back full speed,” Shanahan said. “You just keep your fingers crossed. It’s always unfortunate to have a surgery like that. But he’s young, he’s a worker, so I’m sure he’ll bounce back very quickly.”
Bowen, 29, had 19 combined tackles and one defended pass in 10 games this season. He was placed on injured reserve on Nov. 26.
