Kyle Shanahan on Jordan Reed: We missed him a ton

Tight end Jordan Reed has been named to the All-Rookie Team by the Pro Football Writers of America, the Redskins announced Tuesday afternoon.

Reed is the 32nd Redskin to receive the honor since 1975 but just the second tight end, joining Chris Cooley (2004).

Reed missed seven games with injuries, including the final six because of a concussion, but still finished second among all rookie tight ends in receptions (45) and yards (499). Against Chicago, Reed set the franchise record for receiving yards by a rookie tight end with 134.

The University of Florida product finished the season on injured reserve.
