Redskins NFL Draft prospects: Belk Bowl
December 28, 2013, 11:45 am

With the Redskins’ 2013 season winding down, CSNWashington.com will be keeping an eye on the upcoming college bowl games and the NFL prospects who could be on Washington’s radar in 2014 draft.

What: Belk Bowl

Who: Cincinnati (9-3) vs. North Carolina (6-6)

When: Saturday, 3:30 (ESPN)

Players to watch: North Carolina has three players that NFL scouts will be keeping an eye on: TE Eric Ebron, DE Kareem Martin and S Tre Boston.

Ebron, a junior, has opted to forgo his final season of eligibility and declare for the NFL draft. The 6-4, 245 pound playmaker hauled in 55 passes for 895 yards (ACC record for a tight end) and three touchdowns this season. He’s projected as potential first rounder, which would put him out of the Redskins’ reach.

Martin (6-5, 265) recorded 20 tackles for loss (fourth nationally), 11 sacks (10th) and forced three fumbles. He’ll play in the Senior Bowl and has been pegged as a possible third round choice by some evaluators.

Given the Redskins’ secondary woes, Boston (6-1, 205) could be on their radar. He notched 85 tackles and picked off four passes and figures to be a high mid-round pick. He has accepted an invitation to the East West Shrine game.

On Cincinnati, LB Greg Blair (6-1, 252) is worth monitoring. He led the Bearcats in tackles (96) and recorded 6.5 tackles for loss. Projects as a late round pick.
