The Redskins have signed Jawan Jamison to the 53-man roster, the team announced Tuesday afternoon.
Jamison was a seventh round pick out of Rutgers in April and spent the first three months of the season on the practice squad. He could make his NFL debut Sunday night in Atlanta.
Jamison takes the roster spot vacated by Evan Royster, who was placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury he suffered against the Chiefs.
The 5 foot 7, 203-pound Jamison had 54 yards on 16 carries in the preseason.
The Redskins also announced that they have signed RB Miguel Maysonet (Stony Brook) to the practice squad.
