Mike Shanahan on his relationship with Kyle

Tight end Jordan Reed, who has missed the past three games with a concussion, will be listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Falcons, Coach Mike Shanahan said on Friday.

Shanahan said Reed will undergo a test at Redskins Park on Saturday morning prior to the team traveling to Atlanta.

“If he does pass the test, then he’s got to go through a conditioning test,” Shanahan said at Redskins Park. “On Sunday, we’ll evaluate him again. If he had a headache or something like that, he could not play. If he felt good, he would be able to play at that time."

Reed, the team’s second leading receiver, did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday. Shanahan also disputed a report that suggest Reed will be shut down for the remainder of the season.

Reed has suffered three concussions in his career, the first two coming at Florida.

“The doctors look at those type of things, and they give us a report on how they feel,” Shanahan said, asked whether the team is more cautious because of Reed's previous concussions.

Guard Kory Lichtensteiger (stinger), safeties Brandon Meriweather (chest) and Trenton Robinson (ankle) and fullback Darrel Young (hamstring) will be listed as probable.
