Griffin: 'We have to make the best of our situation'

Redskins linebacker Perry Riley has been fined $15,750 by the NFL for roughing Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, a league source said Friday.

The foul occurred in the first quarter after Romo completed a short pass to Dez Bryant. Riley, who was blitzing, took an extra step after Romo had thrown the pass and delivered a high hit that knocked Romo down.

Riley was flagged 15 yards for roughing the passer. It was Riley’s second roughing the passer penalty this season.
