The Redskins signed linebacker Vic So’oto to the 53-man roster on Wednesday. So’oto, 25, had been on the Packers’ practice squad.

The team also signed free agent guard Pat Boyle to the practice squad. Boyle replaced linebacker Kourtnei Brown, who has been released.

So’oto, who played his college ball at BYU, appeared in seven games for the Packers in 2011 and four contests for the Raiders this season.

So’oto took the roster spot of tackle Jordan Black, who was suspended Monday by the NFL for four games for violating the league’s policy on performance enhancing drugs.
