Mike Florio of our corporate cousin Pro Football Talk is reporting that a hearing in the Redskins and Cowboys salary cap penalty grievance case against the NFL will be held sometime in May.Florio cited a source with knowledge of the situation. The Redskins were hit with a loss of 36 million in cap space and the Cowboys lost 10 for what the Giants president John Mara said was creating a competitive imbalance by taking advantage of the uncapped 2010 season rules to pay large bonuses. The league approved all the contracts the teams submitted during that year. The hearing will be held in front of arbitrator Stephen Burbank, a law professor at Penn. The location and exact date of the hearing are not yet known.
