The Redskins will bring in free agent wide receiver Donte’ Stallworth for a tryout during next week’s minicamp, according to a report.
Stallworth played 11 games for Washington in 2011 and one for New England last season before an ankle injury landed him on injured reserve. In his only game with the Patriots, the 32-year-old reeled in a 63-yard touchdown pass from Tom Brady.
In his stint with the Redskins two season ago, Stallworth, who was popular with the coaching staff, caught 22 passes for 309 yards and two touchdowns.
The Redskins currently list 10 wide receivers on the roster, but the team could be concerned about the quality of the unit’s depth after Pierre Garçon, Josh Morgan, Leonard Hankerson and Santana Moss.
NFL Network’s Albert Breer first reported the Stallworth's tryout.
