Haslett on Redskins' struggling run defense

Who will start at quarterback for the Raiders against the Redskins today? Depends on who you want to believe.

Early this morning, SFGate.com reported that Pryor passed concussion tests on Friday and Saturday and the decision was make to start him despite limited reps in practice all week.

But later in the morning, Jay Glazer of FOX Sports tweeted the following:

Scoopage: despite T Pryor being cleared, Raiders players were told in team mtg last night that Matt Flynn, NOT Pryor, starts today. Details to come on #FOXNFLSUNDAY

Adam Schefter of ESPN, who reported earlier this week that Pryor was "unlikely" to play, also is reporting that Flynn will start.

Generally speaking, Pryor represents more of a threat with his legs while Flynn is though to be the better passer.

It's possible that Flynn, who took the vast majority of the practice reps this week will start and that Pryor will come off of the bench if needed.

Pryor is in his third NFL season and his first as a starter. This year he has completed 53 of 81 passes for 624 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Flynn has only seen duty in a mop up role this year, coming in late in the Broncos game after Pryor left with the concussion.
