Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III emerged from Thursday’s practice without suffering a setback in his recovering from a concussion, Coach Mike Shanahan said.

“He’ll go through his tests,” Shanahan said. “But he looked fine.”

If he passes those tests, he’ll be cleared to practice again on Friday, the coach said.

Shanahan described Griffin’s participating level in practice as “limited to full.”

“Maybe [he did] a couple less plays, but not much,” Shanahan said. “Instead of taking 85 to 90 percent [of the snaps], he took 75 to 80 percent. So he’s close.”

Griffin must be cleared by an independent neurologist before he can suit up Sunday against the Vikings.
