The heart of the Luck vs. RG3 debate ultimately lies in throwing ability, the essence of a QB, if you will.Luck is often referred to as the prototypical passer (just don't ask Greg Cosell of NFL Films), but former Colts GM Bill Polian recently said Griffin "presents a threat that we really havent seen before."Despite being limited in his sophomore season, Griffin singlehandedly revitalized the Baylor program. RG3 amassed 10,366 yards for 78 touchdowns during his time in Waco, 37 of those TDs came in his senior season alone. Griffin was picked off just 17 times during his tenure. To put it in perspective, in 2011 over the course of 13 games, RG3 threw six interceptions, while Rex Grossman threw 20 for the Redskins.RG3's speed and arm strength (his athleticism) have been his calling card, but perhaps his accuracy has flown under the radar. Polian also said of Griffin: If he pulls up to throw the ball and I would direct you to the Oklahoma film all he has to do is stand up and flick that wrist and the ball will go across the field 55, 50 yards in a wink of an eye on a rope and its accurate.Polian is talking about one of Griffins best plays at Baylor. With just eight seconds left, Griffin rolled out to his left and threaded the needle in the back of the end zone. This play demonstrates his speed, his ability to see the field and that the kid simply can handle pressure. About 49 seconds into this clip, you'll get a feel for just how tremendous this play is. The Bears faced an Oklahoma squad that was No. 5 in the country and had won the 20 previous matchups against Baylor. Griffin would complete 21 of 34 passes for 479 yards, with four touchdowns and no interceptions. He also ran for 72 yards. Furthermore, RG3 is actively trying to improve on the areas where it is perceived that Luck has the edge. One advantage that Luck has over RG3 is his height. Even after RG3's height debacle was cleared up as he checked in at the combine at 6-2 and 38, our cameras caught him trying to work on his mechanics. It is clear he is working on throwing with a higher release point during the warmups at Baylor's pro day. It will be interesting to see what other weapons RG3 will have in his arsenal once he reaches the NFL.
