The Redskins have found their summer home for at least the next eight years.
The team announced in June that it would hold its training camp in the city of Richmond, Virginia starting in 2013 at a site that would be determined. The site has been selected and it will be announced at a press conference this afternoon in Richmond.
According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, a 17-acre tract of undeveloped land located behind the Science Museum will be turned into a training facility that will include two fields, a field house, spectator accommodations, and other items necessary for an NFL team to hold training camp there.
Financing and other specifics will be laid out at this afternoon's press conference.
