Robert Griffin III just got sacked again. And again.
An NFL review of Monday night’s game has changed the scoring two Griffin runs for a loss. They determined that those plays were actually sacks and not runs.
One occurred late in the first half. You might recall it as Griffin fumbled on the play and Pierre Garçon recovered. That was initially listed as a run for a loss of one yard but instead Justin Smith was credited with a sack.
The other one occurred late in the third quarter. A run for a loss of two was changed to a sack, also credited to Smith.
Griffin also lost nine yards passing. What they originally scored as a pass to Josh Morgan they changed to a lateral. That reduced Griffin’s passing yards for the game down to 118. Morgan lost nine yards receiving but picked up nine rushing yards.
