Kory Lichtensteiger suffered a sprained left ankle against the Cowboys, but Coach Mike Shanahan said Monday that he hopes the veteran guard will be able to practice this week.
“We’ll see how that is Wednesday,” Shanahan said. “Hopefully he’ll be all right.”
Lichtensteiger was injured in the third quarter when Dallas tackle Marcus Spears rolled over on his ankle on a running play. Lichtensteiger, who returned for a series before leaving the game again, missed 21 of the team’s 62 snaps on offense.
Rookie Josh LeRibeus replaced Lichtensteiger, who left the locker room wearing an immobilizer boot.
D.J. Johnson is also “a little bit sore” because of a knee injury. But Shanahan said he hopes the cornerback will be okay.
“Other than that, I think we’re in pretty good shape,” the coach added.
