Robert Griffin III will play Sunday in Philadelphia if there is no setback to his injured right knee, Coach Mike Shanahan said after practice on Thursday.

“If there is no setback, doctors feel that he’ll be ready to go,” Shanahan said. “There wasn’t a setback today, so that’s a good sign.”

Griffin practiced fully for the second consecutive, four days after missing the first game of his NFL career because of a knee injury.

“He had a good practice,” Shanahan said. “Obviously, he’s not 100-percent yet. I think everybody knows that.”

Shanahan noted that Griffin continues to improve but still needs clearance from doctors.

“I like what I see,” Shanahan said. “As I said before, if there is no setback, he should be ready to go. But I can’t make that decision yet because you don’t know if there are going to be any repercussions over the next few days.”
